Royce Yoder

Born in Kansas in 1954, Royce became interested in pottery during college when he took a ceramics class because it looked like “fun”. This class jump started his career as a potter and he officially began making pots for a living in 1978. Royce and his wife Marci moved to Pennsylvania in the late 1970’s and Royce established his studio in Lederach in 1983. As the only employee of Royce Yoder Pottery, he strives to make a beautiful, functional work everyday.

His extensive line of functional pottery includes bowls, mugs, cream and sugar sets, handled plates, soup tureens, canister sets, dinnerware, pitchers, vases, candle holders and more. All of these pieces come in various sizes and glaze combinations.

After over 40 years of creating a living for himself by throwing clay, Royce is still passionate for creating/playing/shaping new objects out of clay.
