Snake Puzzle in Walnut

This three dimensional snake-shaped sculpture is made of a single length of walnut, cut sequentially into interlocking puzzle pieces. The eye-piece acts as a lock, holding the pieces together in a flexible, curving shape.  Remove the eyepiece, and the puzzle can be disassembled to reveal a secret piece, tucked in the snake's tummy: a mouse!  An iconic Class Menagerie design crafted in Peter Chapman's signature style of sculpting and sequential puzzle cuts.
